This weak I have sorted out all the fabrics and categorized each of them. I have labeled all fabrics with colors and sticky notes to show which ones go with which dresses. I have learnt many new technical terms and approaches. I have learnt that most designs can be based on patterns for the rough sizes and then personalized and changed to suite the designers ideas and wishes. I have also learnt that one uses special chalk to draw on the fabric, which can be erased after the fabric has been cut. I have to make sure, that I can learn as much as possible about this section of design in the last couple of weeks and also make sure that the dresses end up looking like I had imagined. The way the final dress corresponds to the designers wishes can be affected by something as little as the width of a shoulder strap. Therefore I alway had to check up on these little details.
